Stress and Workshop

Let’s talk about Stress, no one knows better about stress than an arquitecture student, just ask me . 

Last year I decide I wanted to study arquitecture, ok... i knew it was a difficult career ,nobody said it was going to be easy ... but i wasn't expecting this would be this hard! I mean I’m not just physically tired but also in my mind, and the mental stress is due to only one thing: WORKSHOP. 

Workshop is the most important class in the career , so it's the most demanding , this is the class where you come face-to-face with all content related to architecture (although there are other complementary classes) , but this is definitely the most absorbing one.

Let’s talk about the first semester in workshop , in when you barely have an idea of what architecture is , and then comes the teacher and ask you to do a bunch of things and works in which you're completely inexperienced , and you really question yourself if this is really what you want , when you think "I'm not made for this", and that everything you do is wrong, again and again ... because yeah , that is what happend to me , and , i know it sounds like I don’t like it at all, but that's what this is , a love/hate relationship ( not saying that's something healthy) because at the end of all the deep suffer and the stress ,and the uncountable nights without sleep , There.Is.a.Light. , when in your final project of the semester you get a really good feed back from the teachers plus a good grade, when you realize all the effort is worth, when you can finally say I DID IT ! That, is the moment when you realize all you have learn and improve, and you feel completely fulfilled and happy. Until the next semester but that is another story 

So my advice for new student would be : if you get tired , learned how to rest not to give up, if i could do it so can you ! , and if this is what you love , work hard and enjoy because In spite of everything , Arquitecture is a really beautifull career .
